The launch coincides with a global rebrand by Henrik Purienne, Design Miami’s Global Creative Director for 2024, who decided on the theme of “Living With Design”. The concept will be showcased through “photography of celebrated creatives within their lived environments” alongside a refreshed graphic identity that aims to streamline the visual direction across Design Miami’s four editions. The first-ever Design Miami LA will be held at the 1938 Holmby Hills estate, a historic private home designed by renowned architect Paul R. Williams. The expansive 30,000sqft estate was the former residence of late fashion designer Max Azria. Ivy Station’s large landscaped outdoor area is programmed with a host of activities open to the public, such as games, fitness, movie nights, art shows, gift fairs and concerts. A property-wide art collection includes 35 locally commissioned murals, textiles, installations and portraits, each accompanied by a unique QR code that invites visitors to learn more about the artist.
